Join TCO Chapter 3, SaskOrganics and local Organic farmers for an organic field day and facility tour in the Carrot River area!
We'll start the day at River’s Edge Seeds for a tour of their organic hempseed cleaning plant! Next we'll travel to the Lefebvre farm to learn about Intermediate Wheatgrass (IWG) and the ADOPT Project investigating its dual-use potential, simultaneous grain and forage, when grown in Northeast Saskatchewan under organic production, view the farm’s organic red clover fields and we’ll learn about some of the common red and yellow clover pests and some strategies for organic producers management of these pests, view and interrow cultivator and more!
Attendees will enjoy Lunch, refreshments and networking
